International Focus
On July 4, 2007, Asia University welcomed the first group of American students to participate in Asia University's first annual Elite American Youth Leader program. The program was created to foster a positive international climate in Wufong. 26 American students from Harvard University, California State University San Bernardino, Boston College, the University of South Carolina, Indiana University, and the University of Hawaii Hilo joined the program to study Mandarin, Taiwan's Medium & Small Enterprises, High-Tech Industry, and Societies & Cultures. The program - declared successful - will continue annually. Subsequent groups have included students from Spain, Dubai, and Iran. Other universities participating in the program have included Nicholls State University and University of Wisconsin–Stout. Currently there are over 250 international students from over 20 countries.
